Lake-Sumter MPO Transportation Goals, Objectives and Performance Measures

The 2050 Lake-Sumter MPO LRTP Goals, Objectives and Performance Measures were updated based on the 2045 Goals, Objectives and Performance Measures as well as established federal, state and local guidance.  Goals and objectives that reflect the counties visions were developed early in the planning process.  The goals are shown below.

• Economy:  Support economic development and tourism.
• Safety:  Increase safety of the counties’ transportation system.
• Mobility:  Provide for mobility needs of the community.
• Intermodal:  Maintain existing transportation system.
• Livability:  Preserve, and where possible, enhance social, cultural, and physical and natural environmental values.
• Preservation:  Preserve and maintain a resilient transportation infrastructure and transit assets.
• Implementation:  Effectively execute strategies and actions to achieve the county’s transportation system goals ensuring measurable progress and adaptability.
