SR 444 Design Alternative Study for Multi-Use Path
Partners: Lake County, City of Eustis, City of Mount Dora and Lake~Sumter MPO
SR 44, a regionally significant two lane arterial connecting US 441, in Mount Dora, to East Orange Avenue, in Eustis, provide access from the Golden Triangle and other parts of eastern Lake County to the Wekiva River Basin, Ocala National Forest, St. Johns River, Deland and points northeast. Formerly known as CR 44B, this segment of SR 44 is highly ranked in the MPO’s List of Priority Projects (LOPP) and is currently being designed by the FDOT as a four-lane corridor with median, sidewalks and bicycle lanes.
