Representing Lake County BCC, District 4 – Commissioner Linda Stewart
A native Floridian, Lake County Commissioner Linda Stewart was elected to represent District 4 in 2006. A passionate elementary and middle school teacher for 32 years, Stewart is also an ardent supporter of protecting the environment.
She has been a defender of Florida’s unique wildlife her entire life. Through her involvement with a host of environmental organizations, she is also a staunch citizen advocate for protecting Lake County’s pristine natural lands.
Her goals include protecting rural areas of the County and concentrating development close to the County’s urban areas. She also is a supporter of attracting high-wage jobs to Lake County through increased economic development efforts.
